Paint correction is what separates a real detail from a wash-and-wax. Under focused lighting, we read paint depth, identify defect types, and machine-polish in stages until swirls and light scratches are gone. A coating is only as good as the surface it sits on, so corrections come first.

Can't you just buff that out in an hour?
Not properly. A real correction runs three to four hours because paint depth gets read before anything touches the panel, then one, two, or three stages of machine polishing follow depending on how deep the defects run. An hour of buffing hides swirls under filler. Staged polishing removes them, and the work is photographed under specialty lighting so you can see which one you got.
Will machine polishing damage my clear coat?
Not when the paint is measured first. We read paint depth before we start, which tells us how much clear coat there is to work with and how aggressive a stage each panel can take. Correction then runs in one, two, or three controlled stages rather than one heavy pass, and the results are photographed under specialty lighting.
The paint looks fine to me. Why does it need this?
Daylight hides most of it. Under specialty lighting, swirls, wash marks, and oxidation show up across panels that look clean in a driveway, which is exactly why we photograph the paint under that lighting rather than describing it to you. If the depth reading and the lighting show the finish is genuinely healthy, you will know that before you spend anything.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
Paint correction starts at $325 and takes three to four hours. The range comes from how many stages the paint needs: one, two, or three passes of machine polishing. Paint depth is read before we start, so the stage count is decided from a measurement rather than a guess, and you hear what it needs before the work begins.
Do I have to drop the car off somewhere?
No. The correction happens at your location. We are fully mobile across Nassau County and arrive self-contained with our own water and power, so the polishing, the paint depth reading, and the specialty lighting all come to your driveway, dock, or marina. There is no shop visit and no drop-off at any point.
