Why is it this much when a wax costs a hundred dollars?
A wax sits on top of the paint and wears off. A SystemX ceramic coating is a cured layer with a manufacturer-backed multi-year warranty behind it, installed over roughly six hours of prep and application. Pricing is quote-only because the paint has to be assessed before anyone can put a number on it. You are buying years of protection, not a season of it.
Can I just do a ceramic kit myself?
You can buy a consumer kit. You cannot buy the warranty. SystemX backs its coatings through certified installers only, so a self-applied kit carries no manufacturer coverage at all. The install itself also runs about six hours of decontamination, dust-controlled polishing, and layering. We do all of it at your driveway, dock, or marina with our own water and power.
What happens if the coating fails? Who covers it?
SystemX does. The coating carries a manufacturer-backed multi-year warranty, and it is installed by a SystemX certified installer, which is what keeps that warranty valid in the first place. If something goes wrong with the coating itself, the claim goes back to the manufacturer rather than resting on a promise from whoever happened to apply it.
How long will you be at my house?
Plan on about six hours. That covers decontamination, dust-controlled polishing, and the coating layers, all of it done on site at your driveway, dock, or marina. We arrive self-contained with our own water and power, so nothing runs off your hose or your outlets, and the car never has to be moved anywhere.
Do I have to bring the car to a shop?
No. There is no shop to visit and no drop-off. We are fully mobile across Nassau County and come to your driveway, dock, or marina with our own water and power. The polishing stage is dust-controlled, which is what makes coating work possible in an open driveway rather than a booth. You hand over the keys and stay where you are.
